mardy zombies

In the dying months of the closing year of the last minnellium at a secret Sheffield location, Mardy Zombies were formed by a freak accident during a routine guitar based experiment. Two vaguely innocent individuals, nations if not worlds apart - one a partly portly drummist (and former miss Worksop - 1980) the other a dashing Welsh refugee - were fused by default on that dirtiest of nights. Armed with an accoustic device, a tango horn and an as yet unfinished eternal journal, their popskull synergy unfolded.

Noisy Roy, a particularly sexy and unsensible man, acted as the ominous catalyst to this ghoulish coupling. HE ALONE MUST SHOULDER THE BLAME. Fair play to him, he wears it like a smile and continues to make regular contributions. Sometimes though, if you listen really carefully, he can be heard shaking his head in despair at the pong unleashed. It's rancid head should have been severed from the off. He knows this.

Nonetheless, infected only with tedium, the chthonic duo congealed with disturbing alacrity and opted to continue their foul expedition, with or without funding . Thus, like a naughty fungus, their organically creeping sound began to quickly formulate. Portions of earliness can still be found in the 'less orchestrated' areas of their output.

Perhaps as some kind of warning to others…?

Over subsequent months and years - one way or another - six albums were produced, and with their seventh under construction - the epic 'Dawn of the Dad' - the decomposition shows no signs of receding. Hitherto, all of these rotting gems have been safely confined within the carpet to carpet walls of studio 'T'. Eventually though - like a crazed and cheeky scientist with a forgotten mandate - if you make enough audio stinks, some of them are bound to escape.

A GLOBAL OUTBREAK IS NOW TRAGICALLY INEVITABLE

Three of these culturally septic artefacts are currently available for your perusal and/or purchase. Only time will tell whether the remainder can be contained…
